Kayaker drowns on Lake Kashagawigamog

Taken from city tv news update: A Thornhill man drowned in Haliburton on Monday after his kayak overturned on Lake Kashagawigamog. Ontario Provincial Police say Ayreh Aaron Wise, 33, was not wearing a life jacket. Witnesses say Wise was kayaking when the boat overturned. He began yelling for help. A family member and two nearby cottagers responded, pulling him from the water. Emergency crews were called to the lake around 2:40 p.m. They performed CPR and Wise was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
