Snowmobiler airlifted to Toronto hospital after colliding with car

A man has been transported by air ambulance to a Toronto hospital with non-life threatening injuries after his snowmobile collided with a vehicle and then caught fire near Lochlin this afternoon.
The snowmobile was travelling north on snowmobile trail B103 on Gelert Road, near Lochlin Road, when it collided with the vehicle entering a private driveway just before 2 p.m. on March 7. Haliburton Highlands Ontario Provincial Police are investigating the collision.
The snowmobile driver was transported to Haliburton Hospital by paramedics before being transported to a Toronto hospital by Ornge air ambulance.
EMS and the Dysart fire department as well as Minden Hills fire department and HH OPP responded to the call.
