Overnight break and enter at laundromat
A break and enter at Parkside Laundry on Victoria Street in Haliburton resulted in cash stolen as well as damages.
PC Sean Hawley said that overnight on Oct. 22, a CCTC camera and recording equipment were forcibly removed and stolen from the laundromat's inner office that had been forced open, while a bill exchanger had been forced open and an undetermined amount of cash stolen.
Haliburton Highlands OPP arrived at 7:54 a.m. after the break and enter was discovered by cleaning staff in the morning.
No estimate on damages or monetary losses has been established.
Several years ago, mischief was reported at the laundromat, in 2014, when the washroom was entered and damage caused to the wooden panels when they were ripped from the wall.
