OPP look for answers after body found in Harcourt

A death investigation is underway after the body of a 69-year-old man was found on land at around 9:30 a.m. at the Harcourt Park Marina on New Year's Day.
Haliburton Highlands OPP are assisting the coroner, who attended the scene to do a postmortem examination, in determining the cause of the death. The body was taken to Toronto for an autopsy.
“We're still waiting for the results of that and I don't have any update as to when that might be,” said Sgt. Peter Leon on Jan. 2. “We'll have to wait for the results of that to determine the next course of action.”
The man was from Dysart et al. A Haliburton Highlands OPP press release on Jan. 2 said foul play is not suspected at this point in the investigation.
The deceased's name has not been released to the public yet.
