Maureen Adamson, Fleming College’s new president, visited Haliburton School of Art + Design on Thursday, Oct. 4.
She met with staff and discussed their needs and goals, was given a tour of the sculpture forest and attended a meet and greet with the community.
Adamson was most recently the deputy minister of tourism, culture, and sport for the government of Ontario, but has held many posts in several sectors. She is the first woman to become president of Fleming College. She is also the first alumna and first person originally from Peterborough to do so.
