MPP Laurie Scott named Minister of Labour

Local MPP Laurie Scott was sworn in as Minister of Labour in the new Progressive Conservative government during a ceremony on Friday, June 29.


"I am honoured to be joining cabinet as the Minister of Labour," Scott said in a statement.

 

“My colleagues and I are looking forward to getting to work for the people of Ontario."


She said it was an honour to represent the people of Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes-Brock. 


Scott was previously the Opposition Critic for Community Safety and Women's Issues.
