Visitors who attend multiple exhibitor locations during the Kennisis Lake Cottage Owners’ Association’s Art on the Dock weekend will be eligible to enter draws to win beautiful pieces of art donated by several of the exhibitors.
Visitors who visit more than five locations can enter to win a framed photograph of Big Kennisis from First Bridge by Michael MacLaverty (Exhibitor 11).
Visitors who visit more than 10 locations can enter to win All Things Bright and Beautiful a framed original watercolour painting by Wilf McOstrich (Exhibitor 2) which was painted at Kennisis Lake and Kelly Lake to show Mother Nature’s array of spectacular autumn colours.
Visitors who visit more than 15 locations may enter to win Into the Magnetic Current a framed original watercolour painting by Shelley Beach (Exhibitor 18).
Visitors should go to www.klcoa.org/assets/files/art-on-the-dock/2016-aotd-multiple-location-prize-draw-ballot.pdf to download an entry ballot. They should ask the artist at each location they visit to stamp or initial the ballot and leave their ballot with the last exhibitor they visit. All ballots will be picked up and entered in the prize draw to be held on Monday July 11. Winners will be notified by phone or email.
Art on the Dock is a studio-type tour featuring more than 40 professional and talented hobbyist artists and artisans at 19 locations around Kennisis Lake on Saturday and Sunday July 9 and 10. Artists and artisans will be exhibiting their fine art and crafts on their docks decks and in their cottages lofts and garages. Visitors are welcome to tour the lake by boat or by road – Art on the Dock signs will designate the exhibitor locations.

Because of the generosity of AOTD sponsors Parker Pad and Printing and Viper Marketing and the AOTD exhibitors KLCOA will again be donating funds contributed by exhibitors and visitors to the Arts Council – Haliburton Highland’s Artists in the Schools program continuing Kennisis’s support for this important initiative to bring arts education to elementary school children in Haliburton County. Each year half the children in grades 1 through 8 in Haliburton County are matched with a local artist for hands-on arts classes according to the students’ interests and the curriculum. Last year Art on the Dock raised $1200 for the Artists in the Schools initiative and our aim is to do even better this year.
