A team-autographed Ottawa Senators jersey is being raffled off as a fundraiser for this year’s Minden Terry Fox Run.
Organizer Diane Peacock said the jersey came from a local family, who wished not to be named.  Tickets are $2 each and can be purchased from any of the run’s committee members or by calling Peacock at 705-286-4914.  The draw will be held Sept. 16, the day of the event.
Along with the 10-kilometre run down Deep Bay Road, there will be musical entertainment, face-painting, a barbecue and silent auction featuring items from local NHL stars Matt Duchene and Cody Hodgson and, Peacock is hoping, figure skating legend Kurt Browning.  Last year’s run drew some 220 participants and raised more than $20,000.
