A Brush with the Highlands event invited artists to paint all over Highlands East, including private properties. It drew more than 45 plein-air artists (in acrylic, oil, pastels and watercolour) from all over Ontario. They represented the up and comer to the established. The event started with a one day workshop on Thursday, Aug. 2 and ended with an art show and sale of work from the event at the Lloyd Watson Memorial Centre on Sunday, Aug. 5.
