The survivor of a two-car collision on South Baptiste Lake Road in Highlands East has been charged with careless driving.

The 80-year-old man from Toronto had non-life-threatening injuries after his 2012 Audi collided with the 2012 Hyundai driven by James and Viola Dunford of Harcourt.

The man had been travelling east on July 9 when his car struck the Dunfords' car head-on.

Both Jim and Viola were killed in the crash.
