A car collision on South Baptiste Lake Road left two people dead July 9.

Around 3:45 p.m., emergency personnel including Bancroft OPP, paramedics and the Highlands East fire department were called to the scene of the collision.

There they discovered two cars, an Audi and a Hyundai, had hit each other head on just east of Highland Grove.

The driver of the Audi, 80-year-old Percy Skuy of Toronto, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries while the two people in the Hyundai, 78-year-old James Dunford and passenger Viola Dunford both of Harcourt, passed away.

Police investigation is continuing.
