Junior golfers hit the Pinestone links 0

Haliburton’s Pinestone Resort played host to the first annual CJGA (Canadian Junior Golf Association) Junior Linkster Mid Season Championship from July 3 to 5.
There were 54 boys and girls competing, who ranged in age from under eight years old to 13. It was a showcase of youthful talent during a week of hot weather.
This is the first event in the CJGA Junior Linkster Championship Series. There was a skills competition that preceded the two rounds of golf. Winners in each age division received a complimentary entry to the Linkster National Championship.
Winners were Peyton Callens (boys 11 to 13) of Langton, Alyssa DiMarcantonio (girls 10 to 13) of Maple, Connor Pestell (boys nine to 10) of Pickering, Emily Zhu (girls nine and under) of Richmond Hill and Tyler Dawson (boys eight and under) of Toronto.
