It was record day for a Highlands elementary school athlete at the Trillium Lakelands District School Board Track and Field Meet last week.
Joseph Patrick of J. Douglas Hodgson Elementary School won the 200-metre dash with a record time of 25.13. Patrick also dashed to first in the 100-metre dash with 12.26 and leaped to first in the triple jump with 10.56 metres.
Ryan Hill, senior of JDHES, took third in long jump.
Senior girls of JDHES Brynn Meyers finished sixth in the 200 metres and second in the triple jump.
Jaguar intermediate Kenndal Marsden of JDHES won the 100-metre dash with 13.95 and first in the 200-metre dash with 29.77. Marsden also placed third in the triple jump. Fellow intermediate Jaguar Brittany Imasuen finished second in the 100-metre dash and fourth in the intermediate 200-metre dash.
Junior boys of JDHES Isaac Little of JDHES finished fifth in the 400-metre run and Kade Bain fifth in long jump.
The JDHES intermediate girls 4x100 metre relay finished third while the senior boys 4x100 metre relay won with 52.87. See more photos in next issue.
