Are non users supporting users 0

To the Editor,

In response to Kirk Creelman's letter to the editor Feb. 7, I would like to add some thoughts.

Lakeside Baptist Church will be receiving a grant, I understand from your letter, to construct an elevator to be used by those individuals unable to walk up steps.

Will this elevator be used by non-Christians at weddings, funerals etc.?

The question remains, however, as implied by your letter is why are non users supporting users?

There are lots of examples in our society where this happens.

Our government builds hospitals, schools, arenas, libraries and highways. They even subsidize homes. Not everyone uses these services.

I have even heard (around the water cooler) about people receiving government money to build airplanes.

People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
