West Guilford landfill site in Dysart accepting more material 0
The following are brief reports of items discussed at the May 2 meeting of Dysart et al council.
Those looking to dispose of brush and construction material in the Haliburton area will now have more options.
Once prohibited at the West Guilford landfill site, brush and building material are now being accepted. Other accepted items include stumps and shingles.
The municipality passed a bylaw allowing these things to now be accepted at the landfill site effective May 2.
The change follows a delegation from the Haliburton Homebuilders Association, at the April 12 meeting of council, asking the municipality for better landfill site hours and cooperation.
